There are different types of wounds including surgical wounds, traumatic and chronic. traumatic injuries can be caused by mechanical injuries, traumatic, or thermal, including bruises, abrasions, bites, broken bones, burns and frostbite. The surgical wound is usually just easier to clean and heal. As you can see the definition, chronic wounds can heal more difficult, and pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers.
The wounds can be further divided into two categories:Partial and full loads thickness. Partial thickness wounds present with damage to the tissues in the epidermis and dermis, including flame burns and blisters, usually being painful to touch. Full-thickness wounds present with damage to skin tissue, skin, or subcutaneously, including flame burns, boiling liquids and chemical burns, usually without recognizing pain.
The most common type of injury is a traumatic injury. traumatic injuries are divided into different types: (1) Abrasion,(2) bruising, (3) incision, (4) wound tunnel (5) laceration (6), bites, (7) cuts (8), thermal injuries.
Surgical wounds secondary to trauma induced by surgery. Surgical wounds include: (1) post-surgical incisions, including dental extraction, (2) interface wounds, (3) donor site wounds, such as in blood donation, (4) IV site wounds (5), skin graft wounds (6) skin wounds periostomy, and (7) peritracheotomy wounds.
The process of regeneration and repair of damageshows one of the most fundamental defense mechanisms of the organism to the environment. Wound healing is usually in patients over time. Even with minor injuries such as cuts, sores can develop in impaired individuals traumatic injuries, a lot of medication, hospitalization and even require surgery. In general, if a wound does not heal within a month, medical intervention is necessary.
Immediately after the injury, the wound fills with blood anda clot forms. The clot contains a threadlike protein called fibrin, which binds the wound together and stops bleeding. If the tissues are damaged, has started a cascade of cellular events preparing the damaged area for the deposition of collagen, which ultimately will replace damaged mesenchymal tissues. Wound healing occurs in stages.
